The Operation of The Furnace Heated by MoSi2 Heating Rod
The newly manufactured furnace or the furnce not used for a long time needs to be dried before the application with the drying temperature up to 100-200°C. The drying temperature of the large furnace is longer so that it is better to use the other heating elements to bake the furnace to avoid the low oxidation. After the furnace is baked dry, it can start the heating up as the following procedures.

The time cannot be too long during the gearshifting and the temperature of the heating elements cannot decrease to 300-400°C. Otherwise, it is easy to incur the current impulse to damage the electrical equipment.

Chemical Properties
Under the high temperature oxidation atmosphere, the surface of MoSi2 heating rod will generate the quartz protective covering to protect molybdenum rod from continuing to oxidate. When the temperature is more than 1700°C, the quartz protective covering melts and the MoSi2 element continue to use, the quartz protective covering regenerates. MoSi2 heating rod is not suitable to be exerted in the temperature from 400°C to 700°C. Otherwise, the elements will be effloresced astributing to the intense low temperature oxidation.
